A lot of people hate TikTok.



I started a TikTok account back in 2019.

But after seeing all the dancing freaks jumping around on camera, like most people, I posted one video and dipped.

“Who wants to manage an entire other social media account??”

Especially when Instagram and Facebook already got the job done.

But now looking back, if I had just posted one video per day, I probably would’ve been the biggest author on the platform today.


Currently, there are tons of authors selling their books directly to readers from short 15-second videos.


I had one 10-second video pop at like 20,000 views and it sold 5 books to people who didn’t even follow me.

No talking.

Just my face on camera holding the book.

Short text on screen.

And a trending song.

And these books were $25 washi paperbacks.

Way more expensive than the typical $15~$20 books I see other authors list there.


Anyway, I want to reach more readers there through live videos - Billy Mays style.

But I can’t go live until I get 1000 followers.

I’m at 109 followers now.
