AI apes?

I recently saw the new Planet of the Apes film.

Crazy good visuals.

And even more amazing considering that even Hollywood is using AI in their art.

The “Is AI real art” convo just got deaded in my opinion.

Not because Hollywood has the last word on what “true art” is…

But rather, the fact that real visual effects artists and actors and writers and directors…

Who spent decades of their lives honing their craft…

And countless resources in time and money to become the best in the world…

All got together and though long and hard…

To come to the unanimous opinion that using AI in their creative process was ethical and better for the film over all.

Not as a tool to replace artists, but rather to help artists enhance their art.

Just like any other tool.

This is why I have no shame in saying I used AI in my latest book launching on Kickstarter.

I designed different art pieces with my ideas using AI as the brush to bring my story to life without having to go into tens of thousands of debt on VFX education or bend at the knees to beg gatekeepers to open the gates.

Or worse…

Risk my idea fading into obscurity out of fear of what fearful people have to say about AI.

Now, quick caveat. AI is gonna get out of hand. Eventually.

It’s inevitable.

All the AI safety researchers are increasing their doom probability day by day.

And it’s perfectly logical to assume that the exponential rate at which AI is growing will eventually come back to bite us.

But what am I gonna do?

Scream into the void while companies with infinite resources spend every waking moment bringing their fever dreams alive?

Or use and master the tools to know what to do when that singularity moment comes?

I choose the latter every time.

But that’s far off.

Let’s focus on what’s right before us.

Like my Kickstarter ending in 5 days.
